Solving Dilemmas: Should You Buy Snowboards Online or in Person?

Buying a snowboard is no piece of cake – you are very likely to use the board for several years, which means putting in the effort to get it right is worth it. But is it better to buy snowboards online or from a brick-and-mortar store? The answer to the question of whether to shop online or in-person for most products is usually - “in person if you can” but online for convenience. However, when it comes to snowboards, I'm convinced that it is better to buy online – here's why.

Choices, Choices, Choices

There is a great selection to choose from when you are buying snowboards online. You can search for and find basically any type of snowboard on the market. And besides finding all kinds of brands and models, you can also find your size easier. If it’s not in the first online store you look in, it will likely be in the next few of them.

Convenience

The thing that we all love about online shopping? You don’t have to leave the house! You can research snowboards online, order online and have what you want to buy delivered to your doorstep. And since a snowboard isn’t something that you must try on there really isn’t any benefit from going from store to store trying to find the right board.

Reviews

When shopping for snowboards online, you can usually come across reviews about any particular board. You can usually find a lot of both professional and user reviews online so that you can get a feel for what the board is like and how others found it to ride. On the other hand, you can't really get reviews in a physical store.

Free Delivery

Although that may not always be the case, most online stores offer free delivery on their orders that exceed a certain amount of dollars spent. The minimum spend is usually around $50-$100, so you don't have to worry about free delivery as you're bound to spend more than that on a good board. And if one store doesn’t have free delivery, just look for the next online shop – it’s as easy as a Google search away.

No Hassles from the Sales Team

I don’t know about you but I hate it when I'm being hounded by the salesperson trying to make a sale when I’m in a physical store. I don't like the feeling of being pressured into buying their products and I just don’t feel like I have a chance to think about what I'm buying and weigh up my options. When shopping online, however, you can take as much time as you like and visit several online stores rather easy.
